Great rest area. Very nice and clean. There are piers on both sides where you can drive out on to fish or view the bridge. It was beautiful the morning I was there. I went out on both sides to view the bridge. Worth the stop whether you need to or not.

There are two rest areas, one before the bridge, or north side of the bridge and one south side of the Bridge toll paid for the south side, yes, but do you pay toll to get to north rest area before the bridge?
It's not an RV park, but I believe you could park one there to rest or stretch. Nice picnic area and beautiful water view.
They can be strict about their 3 hour rule if you break another rule, that other rule would be to not park with your driver's license hidden.
Not sure.. last weekend traveling Southbound way too sleepy to make it to Sarasota. After discovering the Southbound rest area still closed. I groggily made it to the Northbound rest area. Making a mental note to myself, "self remember to swing around South when you exit?"... After a good nap, I woke up, and like a bat out of hell, went straight North. Over the Skyway and had to go back over again heading South. ...lol
