Peter and all the front desk agents were very kind and very helpful with anything I needed! Amazing stay, even extended my stay just because they were amazing. Give them a raise!

Its very unfortunate that I'm a Diamond member of Hampton group and received a extremely poor service and compromised room. The front office receptionist was unfairly rude. The room given to me did not have adequate lights with broken lamps. As a result of my request, a reading lamp (shown on picture below) was provided. There is Holiday inn very next to this property and I strongly recommend staying there if you prefer to feel valued and respected.

I had a recent stay for the Michigan State Bowling Championships. Our group had 5 rooms reserved. We ALL had issues with the staff both the desk staff, breakfast staff and the cleaning staff being rude. 1) When we arrived and checked in each of us had separate reservations, however we were each charged an additional $20 per night as an incidental fee. The confirmations all said ALL taxes and fee included. Nowhere in the fine print did it mention incidental fees would be charged at the time of check in. When the desk stay was questioned she said it is what it is. Also she stated all hotels charge incidental fees and I should be happy it's not more. This was the treatment I received when checking in and when asking about it again in the morning to a different associate. Also I heard and witnessed the staff at the desk yelling on the phone to someone "if they would stop talking and listen maybe they would be helped". 2) The Pool was out, I didn't receive a call letting me know about it, no call, no message, no email, nothing. The Desk Staff insisted that I had. When I asked if there would be some kind of compensation for the inconvenience I was told no. Again the staff was rude and acting like I was a problem. 3) During Breakfast the staff was hovering around while our group of 10 was getting their breakfast and kept making rude comments about "White People don't know how to act", we were getting breakfast, why was this necessary. 4) When I asked the cleaning staff for additional towels but they didn't need to clean our room. They told me that I had to ask the front desk to communicate the request. I called down and was told by the front desk that I had to ask the Cleaning Crew. I asked the cleaning crew again and the woman rolled her eyes and said "whatever, here" and handed me towels. In conclusion the staff was rude, unhelpful and overall made our stay unpleasant.

I stayed here Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Because of the holidays I did not have the opportunity to try the breakfast but Hampton Inn breakfast is always tasty. Will definitely stay here again.
