We chose to do the wave runner dolphin guided tour and it was absolutely one of the coolest things we have ever done! It is an amazing experience and our guide Jason was phenomenal! Such a fun experience and we will definitely be doing this again!

We stayed at Diamond Head resort in Fort Myers Beach. The hotel provided 2 free chair rentals, we asked how much a third chair would be and the gentleman said $15. When we said $15… shocked because other resorts charge only $5… his response was, “Well, I was going to give it to you for $10 but now it’s $15 because you complained” I asked how much a WaveRunner rental would be he said, $300 for an hour. When I made a face he said.. $182, we have to make money too. I wouldn’t of had a problem paying as I expected the resort to be higher. But, because if his poor customer service, we passed on the chair and wave runner.

We did the dolphin jetski tour, guided by Jake. Very friendly staff! Be sure to reserve your spot a few days in advance. Also note, they operate out of a small place outside of The Pink Shell Resort. May be a good idea to also mention your experience level, so that you can be grouped with others of similar skill set. Jake ran into this with our group, but did a wonderful job at accommodating all levels. Way to go Jake! He also gave us some free time, of when he snapped various action shots of each participant. We appreciate those photos!

My partner and I had the most extraordinary experience renting a jet ski from the Best Western Resort. We rode for an hour and switched seats at the half hour mark. I would do this ten times over again. Both of the men working here were so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. I’d recommend them to anyone looking for a thrilling water experience in Cape Coral!

Hi Ansgar. The short answer is yes, however we recommend checking the beach conditions before your arrival. If the wind is blowing offshore, the effects of red tide are not as noticeable. However, if it is blowing onshore, you will notice it. The best advice I can give you right now is to make a reservation early in your stay and then call each day to see what the conditions are. If you come down to the beach on the day of your tour and change your mind, we will understand. Sorry I can't be more specific, but right now each day is different. I am very hopeful that this bloom will subside soon and we can get back to normal!
