Safelight was contracted through Progressive to replace my windshield. They gave me a time frame of 8-12. The night before my appointment I called to see if they could give a shorter range of time for their arrival. The representative said they don’t do that but they will call me 30-45 minutes prior. On the day of the apt, no one showed up or called so I contacted Safe Light and they said someone canceled my apt because they couldn’t get my windshield from their supplier. Furthermore, they have to get approval from my insurance company before they even attempt to find it somewhere else. They also said they weren’t sure why no one called me and why they didn’t call Progressive to let them know it wasn’t available. They had 9 days to let someone know of the situation and try to resolve it and did nothing. It has now been 10 days and I’m still driving around with half of my windshield cracked and haven’t heard back if they have even located a replacement. Avoid the hassle and use a more reputable company…

Warning, choose anyone else but Safelite! They came out to replace our windshield that got cracked from a rock. After they left we found that the existing small hairline crack in the dash was now accompanied by a gaping hole, and the installer didn’t say a word before he left! I called Safelite to make them aware of the issue and asked that they buy us the part they broke and we would install it ourselves. Got the call today and was told repeatedly “that dash is known to be brittle, we aren’t going to replace it, we can buy you a $30 dash cover off Amazon if you want, but that is the most we will do.” Are you kidding me?!?!? Your company comes out to replace a windshield, breaks the dash, and thinks somehow they shouldn’t be held liable for that?!? In what world?!? If you value your vehicle, I would avoid Safelite. Zero stars. Oh, and the windshield they installed had a scratch in the glass right in front of the drivers line of sight, so they had to come out and replace the glass again, which means we had to wait several more days, then miss work again so they could come replace it again with their lovely 8-12 scheduling time frame. Absolutely ridiculous. Avoid like the plague.

Made three separate appointments to get my window replaced, each one was cancelled because they wouldn’t have my part in time (one time they even said my appointment looked suspicious) and it didn’t even seem like they ordered the part, seeing as I was waiting for three weeks. Couldn’t get to a person IN the store, was stuck on a loop with the computer, I gave up and ended going through somebody else who was able to come out and fix it within a week

Fast and great service, they handled everything.

It should although it may differ from state to state. My jeep is with State Farm in Tn. 100 percent coverage for glass. Other states have a deductible.
Yes
Patricia Denniston it depends on the extent of the chip. I had a chip just days after replacing my windshield and they were able to repair it. I can't see where it was. If there's a risk of it running then you might be looking at replacement. I'm very happy with the way they've handled my repairs.
This is not their website. You probably need to call them to get a quote for your truck.
I believe they do chip repairs not sure about in Michigan you could check on their website at www.Safelite.com.
Insurance will cover it if you have that if not give them a call they are very helpful
If the crack is all the way through or it is a distraction to safe driving, yes.
