We didn’t stay here. We used the Adventure Center for the scenic cruise and shopped in the hotel. The scenic cruise was ok. We did the cruise in September so we only saw birds and Nice houses.

Decent stay in Crystal River and the grill is wonderful both food and staff. Resort has been recently upgraded in areas, others are being renovated now. Ceiling tiles in renovated areas are old, dirty, and several moldy. In room mini split HVAC's are set at a predetermined temperature and cannot be adjusted, tells you "offline" when you attempt to change and with a pre-menopausal wife that is not a good time. Several doors are not square with the new floors and doors are tough to close or will not close at all. Golf course is average but the layout is better than most.

Nice historical place but a little pricey.

We were there for a wedding. The grounds are beautiful. The food was very good. The wait staff was very attentive.

Yes, it is very pet friendly hotel and the the people at the Adventure center love to see the puppies and offer great manatee and sunset boat tours.
At the hotel, behind and on the west side, along the canal that leads to Crystal River, you will find boats and Kayaks, for rent and guided tours. The manatees are best and mostly visible between November and March each year, so going with a tour company to show you where the year round manatee mammas and their babies up to 3-5 years roam in the various rivers, springs, and canals in the area is the best way to begin your introduction. In the winter months, with seven rivers and a 10-12 mile salt water marsh fish and bird sanctuary between the rivers landslide and the Gulf of Mexico saltwater linked to the Atlantic Ocean, the Manatees thrive in the 72° waters of the various springs all over Citrus and Hernando counties, and on down the West and East coast of Florida in the intercoastal waterways, rivers, lagoons, and springs. The Three Sisters Springs is located about 2 miles south of the Plantation hotel grounds, and is accessible to limited handicapped parking, walk-up,or trolly drop
No breakfast. Just coffee and fruit and donuts
I don't know. Hamburgers grilled out by the pool would be my choice!
Good. Better in season...cooler temps bring them all in for the warmer springs. They are around all year and guides know where to put you on them.
Totally different experience here. My room is clean, comfortable and everything works. Yes, it's old and shows signs of wear, but it's a fine old style Florida hotel. The food is good, the Bay adventures excellent, and the prices reasonable. My room is 150/night. And it's high season. Sure, I'd like it to be cheaper, and modernized a bit; but I don't see anything comparable on the water in Crystal River. My experience is much more positive. I love it here.
They do. Brunch. $25/person
Very good
By boat from the resort to the river is about 30 to 40 minutes. It's about 8 miles and there are two slow zones. About 4 miles down the river you can cut through the salt river to save a little time, but its shallow and a little hard to navigate.
Apparently yes. I was there on the 31st March and saw no notice telling otherwise. Enjoy it.
Dont think its on the menu, but Chef could maybe do it for you. Call and ask them
They have a restaurant and bar in the hotel, as well as a tiki bar out back by the pool.
3 PM, check out is 11am
Yes starting May 18th 4 to 8 pm at the Tiki bar.
