Museums are meant to preserve the legacy of humanity. Serving to enrich people and provide an experience that enlightens people for generations. And I truly feel like the Cincinnati Art Museum has enriched my life having experienced it. This museum features a wide variety of over 67,000 works and I made it a goal to focus and observe every piece I possibly could. It took me all of 5 hours to get through the entire collection, and I didn't have time to fully appreciate every single piece. But, needless to say, this place was truly mind-opening for me. Just looking at the time-span of over 6,000 years from which the art has come from is awe-inspiring. Also, I can't forget that the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The museum was very clean and I can tell they have been taking immaculate care of the building.

Visiting the art museum is always a great indoor and outdoor activity. We park at the bottom of the art climb to enjoy the walk up and to see some amazing sculptures. Plus you'll get in some added exercise. The art room is so fun to play in and my kids love making the crafts along with the take home crafts.

Great museum. Polite staff and interesting artwork. I love their changing exhibits. It's always a fun time going here. I've been almost a dozen times in my life. They have a great program for children to get involved in making art work. I can't wait to stop by again. It's a great place to go no matter the weather. Very reliable hours

This is the coolest art museum I’ve been to in a while. The best part about it, it’s completely free! They have so many different pieces and time periods to browse through. This is place where you’ll come back multiple times to get through the entire museum. It’s highly recommended if you’re in Cincinnati!

Probably
Go early! They only let so many people in per time period.
The only costs are if you want to eat in the cafe or want a trinket from the gift shop. Otherwise, parking and the exhibit are free. Enjoy! It's so worth the trip!
I'm not sure but I do know that the museum updates their exhibits regularly. So you may or may not it just depends what's on exhibit.
They are open, so i would think the exhibit is as well. They are just closed Thanksgiving and Christmas
There is a modern art section on the third floor but no VR
Yes, they do show art from local artists.
I went to the freedom center not the art museum
No special exhibits that require payment to view. Current special exhibitions are Future Retrievel: Close parallel and American painting: the eighties revisited

Hi Angela. No, we do not do appraisals. There are two main resources for finding reputable appraisers – The American Society of Appraisers, and the International Society of Appraisers. On each organization's website you should be able to search by geographic region or by specialty. These are independent organizations and are in no way affiliated with the Art Museum. Hope this helps! -CAM
Some exhibits require a paid ticket however the museum is free.
The sell prints and sculpture reproductions
Parking is free. General admission is free however some exhibits they charge admission. Check the website for any traveling exhibits and associated cost.
Unless the dog is a registered service animal, I highly recommend leaving it in a safe well-ventilated space while you enjoy the art. The museum is located in Eden park and the dog could enjoy a leashed walk about the exterior grounds before and after your visit inside...do do bag in hand!
The museum opens at 11 and closes at 5. No reservations needed unless things have changed. You can always call ahead to check.
They sell tickets at allotted times.
Buy all tickets for the same time at the same time on line, it shouldn't be a problem.
General admission for adults is $16. Seniors, children, and college students are $8. If you go Thursday from 5-8 pm admission is free.
While I haven't noticed any, it wouldn't surprise me if they had one or two, maybe in the coat room? Call ahead and ask.
Free but exhibition is $16 unless you order online and then its $14. Terra Cotta exhibit is well worth it!
Free for General admission (which is most of the museum). For Special exhibits it is 16$ for adults, 8$ for seniors and children.
You should give them a heads up. The whole time thing is to manage traffic and it's been pretty busy.
General admission is completely free. If you wish to go to a special exhibit, it's $16 for adults and $8 for seniors, children 6-17, and college students. It's always free for children under 5 and the special exhibit admission is also free for everyone between 5-8pm on thursdays.
It has already started. It runs to August 12th. I think the stop selling tickets an hour or so before closing.
Im not sure, but I would definitely call and ask them just to make sure.
No cost. It is free to visit the art museum.
They only charge if you want to see the seasonal exhibits. Otherwise, its free!
Yes, the website has a good deal of information, especially current exhibits. Only a fraction of the collection is on display at any given time.
