My son has PTSD from two tours in Iraq. He cannot wear a mask due to the Asthma he got from the desert dust, etc. In other words he cannot breathe! So, we are in the 2nd year without Veterans healthcare. He has to “fight” to get his RX’s filled. They want him to get blood work, but he can’t -due to the mask mandate!!! Is he the only veteran that can’t wear a mask???

My buddy wrote me, apropos of nothing in particular and added this observation "as an aside, if you ask doctors at bay pines "why you here?", a not infrequent response is, "they do a lot of research." the response i've also heard was "i had a private practice for 25 yrs, 15, years, (a cardiologist and ophthalmologist, others), the va is a better place to practice medicine" - focused on care, no insurance, and better people." I get treatment at another facility I'm as happy with as thought to share this third-party review for the good of the order.

What good is the "SOCIAL WORKER" Department, if the "SOCIAL WORKER" says "we can't help" a VET going through bankruptcy, MAJOR SURGICAL support (travel to the APPOINTMENT, set up by a VA doctor, to fix one of THREE INJURIES TO THE VETS HEAD AND THORACIC REGION)? Now the VA "wants to send you(me), to the UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI", to fix what has not been PROPERLY RECORDED AND REPORTED by those "VOWED" to taking care of "THEIR VETS"?
