Flying around on a beautiful day in our Superstol, saw a pretty strip, saw that it was listed as public. Followed the traffic pattern, made calls and landed. Took off and came around again and we saw a guy frantically waiving his arms when we landed. Fearing something was wrong we stopped. This guy charges down on us in his white Cadillac, runs over to us with the engine still running and very nastily asks if we have own a hanger there. I answer 'No' and he starts yelling that we can't land there. I said nicely that the map says the airport is marked 'Public'. He starts yelling again and says that we landed when the grass was wet and we turned around on the runway. I'm sorry he doesn't the bush tires don't hurt runways. We left and will never return. He's not one of us, the plane and pilot lovers.

Dave, they have hangars on the field (not sure on availability) they are $395 a month. There are also open tie downs on the field but they are not covered nor paved.
Not very man flights per day, only a few airplanes based here that fly a few times per month. The airport does have runway lights only activated by pilots for about 15 minutes and then shuts off. Hope that helps
Robbie, thank you very much for asking! Mid-florida is a private airport and PPG launching is only tolerated for renters of hangars and with the proper aviation radio and helmet communication. Long story short is please don't show up there and launch your rig and expect a positive response from the locals. Blue skies and appreciate you asking!!
There aren't any chartered flights out of this airport usually, however there is a commercial pilot or two around that could help you if you needed something quickly
