This congregation is my choice to offer praise to God. Music is one of the major features in its services: praise music, devotional music, testimonial music, and divine instructional music.

I found this church to have a comfortable atmosphere. It is small and has a room to socialize in right next door in the same building. The pastor was uplifting and inspiring and the choir and pianist provided beautiful music. I enjoyed looking at the photos that lined the hallway. There is a very small parking lot available and plenty of 2-hour metered parking on the streets surrounding the church. The neighborhood seemed to be quiet and there is a nice looking park just across the street.

Yes but the name of the early church was Bethel. It wasn't changed to St. Andrews until a few years later. St. Andrews also had the first school for children of color in the Sacramento valley. They were the children of the Chinese & Black people who were working on the railroad & pa Ming for gold.

We celebrate holidays with the Sacramento Valley Methodist Fellowship (all of the AME, CME, AME Zion churches in the Sacto valley). Good Friday Services will be March 30 at noon. St. Andrews AME. Easter Sunrise Service will be held at 6:00 am, at St. Stephen AME Zion church, 1550 Grand Ave , Sacramento. Come join us. You're welcome.

St. Andrews offers Sunday School for children of all ages which starts at 8:45 am. Worship service starts at 10 am and all are welcome. There are a lot of activities and opportunities for our youth as well 😊
