Horrible, staff even borrowed family members long charging chord and returned short chord that wasn’t the correct one and only after family member asked repeatedly for it back. Family member was also left dirty from incontinence over night and was not being turned to prevent bed sores day and night HORRIBLE

So my dad was sent here for rehab. He's 73yrs old, he can't walk or stand up on his own, he can't move himself in bed on his own, and he is almost deaf so he's extremely hard of hearing. His weakened state came from being anemic and he was supposed to have therapy here to get stronger again. Anyways the second day he was there my mom and I knew something was wrong with him because he kept calling us and he wasn't in his right mind. I tried all day long to get someone on the phone to help me communicate with him and to try to find out what was going on. I managed to get the front desk receptionist a couple of times and she tried to get a nurse and even a nurse manager on the phone to no avail. By like 8pm I finally got a nurse he had just came on shift and told me that my dad was agitated and a little altered but ok. Next thing I know about 2am I get a call that he's been sent to Duke University for altered mental status. I get to the hospital and the paperwork from Pruitt says he had fallen. My brother tried to get the facilities director on the phone, the nursing director, or anyone in charge on the phone to find out exactly what happened to our dad and still no one was available to talk to us! Needles to say we will NEVER send our dad here again. The nurses are very uncoordinated as they do not exchange patient information when shifts change so no of them know what's happened with their patients before their shift started. Communication between family and staff is horrible. Sorry for the long winded review, but I just wanted to get my bad experience out there in hopes of keeping someone else from going through the same thing.

The folks at Pruitt seemed REALLY nice when it was time to choose a place for my dad. I would be too if I made bank off of sick, elderly people. As soon as Dad became troublesome and threatened that sweet sweet money, nice went out the window. That's fine. I don't care about nice. The reason I leave one star is because I was told that Dad was going to be moved to a sister facility. The next day, the sister facility had never heard of my dad. When I called Pruitt, whomever I talked to said, "He may be at Duke Hospital but I really don't know." The people who willingly decided to take responsibility for my dad DID NOT KNOW WHERE HE WAS. It turned out that they DID send him to Duke ER. I can only assume that they were too busy counting money to pick up the phone and let me know.

This is my first experience with Pruitt Health as my brother recently moved there. I also am a professional healthcare provider. I was a bit skeptical after looking online at the building it was gorgeous. Once I visited the community I was so relieved. The building is beautiful same as I saw online. The staff that I have had the pleasure of meeting has been very nice and professional especially Ms. Jazzman. I met her at the front entrance she was so delightful, professional and very attentive to my families needs! This is a great place and I’d be the first to recommend this community to anyone in need!
