Employee pic publicly posted on wall at SUNRISENORTHHILLSRALEIGHNC...assaulted my mother while "caring" for her. My mother complained. I was told by PIA that my mother's story had "inconsistencies", therefore issue was dropped and not at all handled properly. My mother was EXTREMELY DETAILED AND JUSTIFIED in her explanation...months later, I find this employee was fired for same kind of accusations by other residents. EXTREMELY ANGRY AT THIS GROSS OVERSIGHT BY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AS WELL AS MAKITA...HEAD 'COULDCARELESSGIVER'. This incident needs to be investigated. TREAD CAREFULLY AT THIS FACILITY.

After looking at several different memory care facilities, I decided on Sunrise North Hills. It was a great decision. Everyone (management, staff, kitchen, cleaning, maintenance and activity workers included) shows care, comfort and kindness to my father and our family. Sunrise North Hills has become like a family to us. Activity directors, management and staff work really hard to keep the residents involved and active while always coming up with new projects, activities and many special occasion holiday events. Communication from management and staff is excellent and very much appreciated. You have many caring people and should be so proud of that at Sunrise North Hills. We are so grateful to all for the care my father is receiving.

***BEWARE of this TERRIBLY DECLINING facility. READ THIS ENTIRE REVIEW FOR THE TRUTH.. **New director has ruined any happiness our family experienced in the last 3 years. Her name is LORETTA THOMAS ...she is publicly on their site so I'm not breaking any rules by naming her. Google her at Sunrise North Hills...click MEET THE TEAM ... a VERY POOR DIRECTOR. She will back you into a corner in your face and threaten you...in front of employees and family members.. EMPLOYEE turnover is terrible. Care LEADERS are very angry people and DO NOT appreciate input by family members. AVOID 2ND FLOOR!!! Also, prices are raised constantly. You will never know what you're paying extra for. Billing office stays in a constant state of confusion. Biggest regret...our Mother passed away there with NOBODY by her side....AND ombudsman found our father on the floor unattended,...the horror stories abound. AVOID THE SALES PEOPLE...TRICKERY AND "half truths" are what you'll get. Also, do not trust PIA, MAKITA, OR FREDA. There ARE about 3 decent employees at this facility....and they also know the truth about the horrible management. Damn shameful business. 😞

This facility is a disappointment. They provide substandard care to the residents.
