They do not help anyone or any community. Will never return a call.

Staff don't seem to have an urgency or effective plan to assist ppl in need. Other organizations will turn you away, insisting you have to go through PADS ("the gatekeeper"). I've filed a complaint and the director, Meghan, has ignored me. Nestor isn't any better.

Hi Yolanda! Unfortunately, we can't accept those sort of things due to City restrictions. You can donate them to Love INC or the Salvation Army just down the street from us and the people we serve will still be able to benefit from them.
Will Pads accept cooked food donations
They are currently to capacity

Just go in during the week and let them know you don't have anywhere to go
Hi there! Thank you so much for considering PADS! Unfortunately, we aren't able to accept any blankets at this time due to space constraints and local codes/ordinances. Thank you again for your thoughtfulness!
Hi Felicia - in short, yes. Anyone who comes to PADS that is need of housing can get assistance from a case manager in locating housing that they can afford and will work for their situation. Thanks for asking!
Hi Chyna! We have a number of different volunteer opportunities for people, both at our Day Resource Center in Waukegan and at our shelter sites scattered throughout Lake County. We just ask that anyone who wants to volunteer go to our website at www.padslakecounty.org/volunteer and fill out an application there. Someone will follow up with you to try and find a good match. Thanks!
