I went to target yesterday. Kudos to the employees right now. The employees have done a great job keeping their cool as shelves are being dismantled, displays are being move and they are trying their best while costumers are constantly complaining about not finding items. Can’t wait to see what it is like after construction is finished.

Employees are incredibly rude. Returned something and the entire time, Ruth at customer service gave me an attitude. After we were done I asked her to check the balance of 2 gift cards for me since I’ve had the balance messed up before after a return. She refused to check it because “it wouldn’t change the amount” I asked her to just please double check because I didn’t want to go to try and use them and have issues. She grabbed them from me with a sign and eye roll. Checked them, threw them down on the counter and said “$10 $ $15… WOW AMAZING” I asked to speak to her manager for the attitude. She said “yeah sure” and brought me to Conner who I explained what happened to meanwhile Ruth rolled her eyes so I asked “is that what happened or am I mistaken?” She laughed very patronizing and said “sure” and walked away. All Connor said was “okayyy….? I’m sorry?” I guess I was just hoping for a more genuine apology or maybe for Ruth to drop the attitude for one minute. Neither employee showed good customer service and I will be going to the Woodbury target from now on.

Today I had to overhear the most rude family I have ever heard in public. Absolutely mean spirited comments from the parents to their young kids. “Your dad ran away because he doesn’t like you” in a vile tone was just one example of some of the things they said. The Target male employee with blonde hair in a ponytail and a black mask in electronics eased tensions by giving the kids a Kirby promotional item after overhearing all of that. Really awesome to see after witnessing that scene! 🙏 that’s one of those things those kids will never forget.
