We first learned of Wood Tavern several years ago on Check Please. It has become our go to restaurant when we’re on that side of the hills - we live in Danville. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. Be sure to get one of the tables next to the front door. The College Avenue “action” is every bit as good as the food.

We have been coming to Wood Tavern for years, but because of Covid and not living nearby we haven't been there lately. Today was our return and it was so good to be back. The duck and porkchop were delicious paired with pinot and a red blend. Can't wait to go again and again.

They are open Sunday 5pm -9pm.
It IS - I agree! I've had the same problem. I think it's to do with the fact that they use some weird phone system. Try calling during evening hours, or stopping by. Another option, you can walk in and put your name on the list for bar seating and have a drink next door while you wait. The pork chop is worth it.

I dont know why they arent answering, but they only take reservations for dinner. Lunch is first come first served. And no, they arent out of business.

Limited parking. We paid by credit card. We were there at 4 pm and found a spot in front of it but prine hour could be more challenging.
These questions go to the public, I don't think the restaurant will see it in a timely manner. You should call them.
Making reservations a month ahead is best; only the bar is available at 5PM with first come service.
4 should be your maximum. The place is very small and ALWAYS crowded due to the delicious menu!!
