Lumen offers high quality services and the staff are super nice. I have a very strong prescription and Dr. Hoshizaki fitted me for some Scleral lenses which have drastically improved my vision.

I had a great experience at Lumen! I felt safe, everything was super clean, my eye exam was very comprehensive but didn't take too long. I would definitely recommend!

We just stopped by today desperately ask if one of our glasses frames could be adjusted from a hit in the face by a basketball. The staff kindly helped with a simple adjustment. This really made our day and it is so good to know of a great optometry place who really just care about people. Definitely look forward to coming here when we look for our eye needs again.

What's the difference between Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) and LASIK?

Lumen Optometric | Sep 17, 2021
Lumen Optometric | Sep 17, 2021

Orthokeratology (or OrthoK for short), is a non-surgical, reversible treatment to correct your vision. You literally sleep your way to clear vision! You wear lens retainers while you sleep and upon removing them, you can see clearly for the rest of the day and evening WITHOUT additional glasses or contacts. Think of them as braces, but for your eyeballs! LASIK is not reversible, which means that so long as your treatment is on-target, you'll do great! But for those instances where you're not on target, there's no going back to restart.
