I guess it was perfect timing but we did not have to wait for the ferry in either direction. We did hear it does not operating every day so call ahead.

You cannot rely on this ferry. We spoke to someone camping there and they told us to just wait at the ramp and if the guy sees you he will come and pick you up. Well we waited 35 minutes and he never came. We called the telephone number twice and left messages. There should be some signage that explains the hours and days that the ferry is available. Perhaps the hours could be explained on the telephone message. Anything beats this.

Pretty much whenever it feels like it
U have to call the DOT and they will tell you. But I ride it all the time and if the captain is not down there then it's not going to run
