The food was well prepared and delicious as expected however, like many restaurants after the pandemic, they remain short staffed and just a little slower than before. All things being equal I prefer good food, well prepared, to speed.

Had nothing to do with Applebee's, basically that is a state law. They are restricted as to what forms of identification are deemed acceptable. Face it, the state of California is very inhospitable to business, you just experienced it first hand. Welcome to the nanny state of California. Hope you enjoyed your visit.
