Great ski resort. This is our second visit and little disappointed with the covid regulations ( you can not enter the food court without the card) and as well the kids tubing lines was not the same like years ago…but definitely 5 stars for the staff , welcoming, warm smiles and very helpful feel like home

A really great place to go skiing ⛷️⛷️

Best place around. It's no Stowe or Breckenridge, but it's what we got in Central PA. It's definitely the capital of the Ice Coast but the groomers do a good job at maintaining. Lift lines can be longer since the lifts run pretty slow. Best time to go is evening as people clear out starting around 5 pm. The lifties and the lodge staff are always super nice.

We live close (in the DC metro area) and visit multiple times each season. Roundtop still has that “family resort” feel even after being purchased by Veil. It’s a good small east coast mountain to ski and their Covid protocols are appropriate without being oppressive.

You can board and ski, the lift tickets are around 75 a piece and rental equipment is separate
Easiest trails are all skiers left, lookers right. Tough trails are all skiers right, lookers left.
I would say probably, unless it's really bad.. it would depend on how bad it is..
Hi Mindy, here is a link with all the prices. With all due respect to Frank, there are many options http://www.skiroundtop.com/winter-rates .
Opening day will be Thursday December 14th for skiing and snowboarding, as per their website.

Yes..make sure to have enough time for lines.. Awesome place to hang out with family and friends
You'll have to check their website www.skiroundtop.com closer to Saturday to find out. Everything is based on the weather with things being so up and down this year. I would think they would still be open tho.
I'd call to confirm, I have never seen one out there or any local resort for that matter.
What you may like to call Roundtop directly to ask that question that was incomplete anyway oh, sorry I can't really help you
Mason sweetie you were in the mountains you get a cross Breeze from every direction :-) you're getting up in high altitudes
Best answer would be to call them
Hi Tina, There is a conveyor lift - sort of like the moving walkways in airports but it goes up the hill. Enjoy!
For tubing they have covered magic carpet to get you back to the top
No.there are zip lines, watersides, bumper boats with water cannons, large plastic balls that you can climb into and roll down hill. They put some water in balls to help you from spinning head over heals. Just roll down hill upright. An air conditioned restaraunt and gift area.a patio, skyrides up side of ridge
Yes, snow tubing is open tomorrow and Sunday in spite of Mr Sislers inappropriate response.
Yes, but all passes are now Peak passes as they are now owned by Peak Resorts. Good at other hills including Hunter and Mount Snow. Price went up significantly though. I can tell you most season pass holders, me included, are not happy with the transition and are bailing to other mountains. You'll have to look at their Facebook pages with what they've explained and do the math to see if it works for you.
There is no age limit, you can be 100 and still go , however start age is 6 or 8
March 16 for Pond Skim, Idiot Swim, Mt Dew Apre Event and Fireworks
Minuteman is not a bunny hill. It is a solid blue (immediate). The greens to the left are the bunny hills, though you may find them a little more challenging than other beginner hills. The mountain gets progressively tougher the further left you go. Upper Ramrod and Upper Gunbarrel are sure quite steep. There are a couple more challenging black diamonds right of Minuteman, including Upper Lafayette's and Barrett's Trail.
Not cheaper, but faster.
Depending on how many hours you go is how much the lift tickets cost. Ski rental of course is extra. They also offer Learn To Ski packages that include a lift ticket, ski rental, and either a private or group lesson. There are great pricing differences dependent upon how you structure your day. Your best bet is to go to skiroundtop.com and click on the link at the top "Learning" to find exactly how you'd like to do it and associated costs. It'll most likely be $200+ for lift, rental, & lessons for 2. Well worth the cost, great sport to learn!
There is no hotel to stay. They have some decent amount of food options and restrooms at the entrance.
Hi Steve, Roundtop offers 4 hr, 8 hr, all day and night tickets.
Oh yes - two kinds!
$33.00 on Weekends and Holidays, $29.00 Friday and $23.00 Monday through Thursday non-holiday. You can also add two zip line rides to your tubing ticket for $7.00 on weekends.
Blame it on the Government Shutdown!
You can get it @ 3pm
Not open today....reopening tomorrow....yes, there is snow.
I'm so sorry to give you the wrong information, They are open from 8AM-10PM! Enjoy!👍
Weekday night 5-10 $49. 4 hour $58, 8 hour $63, All day $71 weekend $49, $68, $73, $78.
They're making snow, but it was 62 degrees yesterday... And warm and rainy on Saturday. Tough to get going until there is s cold snap.
2018 Summer season pass was $85 for ages 11 to 64, $65 for ages 5 to 10 and 65+, 4 and under are free with a paying season pass family member. The season pass does not include the zip line canopy tour. 2019 rates are not yet available. Hope this info helps.
Hi Patricia, It all depends on the weather. We need a sustained period (3-4 days) of low temperatures in the mid 20's to make enough snow to open. We also look at the weather a little further out to see if the snow we make will stick around!
Check the website and/ or call Roundtop for more information.
It all depends on the weather. We will try for Thanksgiving but on average it is early December.
Buy a pass before 10/31 to make about 9 trips your break even point.
These prices are way too overpriced, not everyone is millionaires and I would like to take the wifey and my children out on vacation, but I can’t afford to. This is ridiculous!!
Ok, how much are they without on sale?
We were there yesterday and they were planning to make snow last night. They are hopeful to keep it open as long as possible.
Best way to know is to check their website for which slopes are open and how many inches of base snow they have right now.
I agree with Gretchen. Looks like the season is coming to an end very soon.
It all depends on the weather but usually late March. We have had two 100 day seasons in a row so we are committed to providing a long season.
All of them are.
We have Verizon and never had any issues anywhere at the resort.
Saturday's, Sundays, Tuesday's & Thursday's, evenings... Let's have a snow day....
The website has a weekend/holiday price for each ticket type I believe that would be what you're looking for.
Snow tubing opens at Noon-10pm today. Skiing is absolutely awesome today. Ive been all over the mountain already. It is windy, so dress for cold temps.
Full service rental center and ski school for lessons, have fun!
Yep
Their hours are from 8 am to 4 pm on Christmas Eve
You will need to purchase a lift ticket unless you purchase a "Learn to Ski or Snowboard" package (which includes a lesson). Equipment rental is a flat rate whether it is for boots and a snowboard, or just boots. Lift tickets can be variable based on how long he's going to stay. My honest advice is to buy a pair of boots--you can usually get a used pair for the same price you'd pay for a rental.
Mon - Thursday 1600-2200 Friday 1200-2200 Saturday and Sunday 0900-2200
Yes they do.
Check the weather. If they're blowing snow, you NEED goggles and waterproof clothing. It can get frigid especially once the sun goes down. Pennsylvania weather is all over the place so the best advice is to wear layers that you can shed if you get too warm. Don't underestimate the cold.
