So many things wrong here. Everything is "serve yourself". Are you sitting in the dining room? Would you like a drink? Well, leave your table, go outside, and wait in line and order it yourself. Multiple people in your party? Can't carry four drinks and open the front door by yourself? Too bad. All 4 people have to go out and get their own drinks. The "cocktails" come out of a tap on the counter. They are pre-mixed (like Las Vegas) and very weak on the alcohol side - but the price is the same as if you were at a REAL BAR having your drinks made by a Mixologist. They will run FOOD to your table - but not drinks. THIS MAKES NO SENSE. Then, when you are ready to settle up, guess what? you have to go outside again where your bill is broadcast to everyone else on a small computer screen. No privacy whatsoever. What's worse is that they have the audacity to expect a tip with the option to Tip 40%, 30%, 20%, or Other. Imagine making your customer's serve themselves and still thinking you deserve a 40% tip. Incredible. Won't be going back.

Paid and left. Couple days later, unauthorized charges were made to my account. No one answers the telephone. Calling the Manager goes straight to voicemail. Buyer beware. For your own account safety, cash only is recommended. Also, there is no service. It's like McDonald's. You have to walk outside and wait in line every time you want something. That means running your own drinks. Not really worth it IMO.

Not sure on food and beer. Writing this review during my 20 min stand in line just to order. Hire wait staff!!!!! Added another star. Food and beer is good. Staff is very friendly.

Worst customer service. Rude staff and slow to bring out food. Ordered same meal as partner at same table, his was delivered within 10 minutes. After 30 minutes passed asked about my order, never came out or received update. Requested reimbursement after over 45 minutes, food was finally brought out and staff came to table and took food with no apologies for any inconvenience.

They do not take reservations. Indoors is first come, first seated. Outdoors is also first come first served seating with food and drink ordered up at the outdoor bar.

Who's beer is served at common block? I mean, where is the beer made and who makes it? I heard it is contract brewed in California and that's why it is so expensive and so tasty.

Common Block serves five of their own beers, as well as 12 other craft beers from other west coast breweries on tap. Their own recipes are contract brewed at brewing facility in Redding - so they are Common Block's own recipes, but brewed on outside equipment. As for the price, their beers are all served in 20 oz. imperial pint glasses rather than the typical 16 (or often even 14) ounce pint.
