A gem! Front desk clerk was incredibly sweet when we arrived at 11 PM for a reservation. She was super helpful and our room was close, thank goodness! The room was so nice and clean and had everything we needed, and it was such a delight since we were on the last evening of a very long road trip. The building and lobby are gorgeous and they kept it really clean.

Very poor customer service. I am a business man booking rooms for employees traveling to mt vernon area to work for me. Employees do not live in mt vernon. Only working for a week. My booking was declined due to my address being within 50 miles. I explained that it was for work. Not pleasure not for party or one night stand. I do not recommend business use this hotel. Days inn is willing to work with business customers. I recommend you take your business there. Contractors receive better service at days in then you will at super 8

Great maintenance, nice workers, the heat/ac unit worked perfectly. Breakfast includes a yogurt machine with two flavors and lots of carbs, apples but no meat. It is so nice to stay in a place where the curved shower rod isn't broken. Also, the room has short clean carpet-which is great on bare feet when getting out of bed. There are three restaurants across the street Agave Mexican, Bandera Barbecue and Tommy T's. Agave had excellent food.

Positive: We liked that the room entrances were inside, rather than outside. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good. Choices included waffles, cereal, toast, yogurt, apples, juice and coffee. Negative: Two lights didn't work, including the switch by the door. Desk chair and desk needed to be wiped off. Told clerk and gave feedback card without much response. Keycard reset while at breakfast. Had to get a new keycard. Didn't see an elevator.
