Dr. Carl tries to send his patients to Dr. Apicella. I refuse as both interactions with him have resulted in disastrous outcomes. The first was when he worked with Arvinder Singh, left me paralyzed from cervical diskitis which evolved into osteomyelitis which ate away 1½ vertebrae in my neck and hospitalized me for 4 months in a halo brace. The second time was 2 years later during an in-office procedure at his own practice on Everett Rd., where he injected the wrong area in my neck, hit a nerve and caused numbness in both legs. They kept me "in the back" sitting in a wheelchair, while not telling my husband (who was in the waiting room) what was happening, until the feeling finally returned to my legs (an hour later). The doctor came out to get new patients several times, saw me sitting there in the wheelchair and not once did he approach me or alert my husband as to why I was still there. When he sent his report to Dr. Carl, it was faked to say he had done the correct site... except a hard copy of the CT scan, showing what he had actually done, revealed the truth, as the still picture precisely showed the needle in place, at the wrong levels. All I have to do is hear his name any more, to get an instant panic reaction!

Personally i've just started there. They have alot of alternatives to help with pain. They told me they don't give pain meds
best way is to have your primary doctor refer you. There are many types of treatment available for pain management. ACPM provides excellent care and they have a very capable staff.
