I'm honestly being generous with giving this place two starts. I volunteered here for the last week or so and I have NEVER wasted so much of my time in a place where people have NO RESPECT for anything or anyone but themselves, I have an ankle that I fractured and had surgery on so I had asked to sit down for a minute after completing one of my duties and the lady in charge (who I will not name) sighed and rolled her eyes at me and told me "yea but hurry up we have to get this done " "this" referring to feeding and watering the kitties but I was unfamiliar with how to do everything within the first few days and I was continuously scolded if I didn't do something right, I had appointments I had to make and I was told "your volunteer hours are more important and you can't leave until your finished for the day" she also decided to tell me when to make my appointments so that they didn't interrupt her time. Because if things aren't done by 12:30 pm with help she has to stay late and doesn't want to as if it's everyone else's issue. Not to mention with as many cats as she has there they don't all get along, the first day I was there two of the cats got into a small fight and SHE SPANKED THEM! I have never been so appalled by anything, and she runs strictly on donations but half of the cats she has there are "permanent residents" some of them there's good reason but 95% of them are stupid reasons and half of the time the place is nasty, and the other volunteer is just as rude as the person who runs it. This place is just not a good environment for the cats or volunteers who simply want to help

We sent an application to adopt a cat and didn't hear anything for two weeks and had to drive to the shelter in person because they don't have a phone for some reason. They told us we were approved so we came back on the weekend and every time we said we would take a cat we were told no that cat can't be adopted. We must have said we would take one of 10 or 15 cats because each cat we said we would adopt, we were told no. The building is pretty dirty and there are some cats that looked like they needed a lot of medical help that they weren't getting. We just ended up going to a different shelter and told them what happened and they said people come in and say that all the time. If you really want a cat don't start here.

This place has really, really nice cats that would love a home. Please check them out if you are considering a new pet or just love cats! Give a pet the second chance at a happy life it deserves.

This sounds like a question for the police, not a shelter that isn't near you. Sounds reminiscent of things PETA gets up to. Project PAW accepts cats being dropped off when there is room but there has not been enough room for years.
Try calling "Every Dog's Dream". It is located inside of Petco in Johnson City, NY. If they can't do it, maybe they can give you the right person to call. There is also a shelter in Montrose. I know nothing about the Montrose shelter though.
No I don't believe they do. You can contact the Humane Society 724-3709, they definitely have a low cost spay/neuter program.
There are no dogs at project paw. It's all cats and kittens up for adoption.
They do not capture them..if you get them and take them to them they can help..you can not leave them on site they have cameras and you will get in trouble you actually physically have to go in and speak to them between hours of 730 am and 9 am
They are open early morning only they close around 11am they open at 7 i believe
Its the same never changed
But the kitties have thier shots and are spayed and neutered. The fee is worth it.
It didn't link Judy copy and paste in browser
I just e-mailed Project Paw, they are still in business and have been for 47 years. Thank you God! 7/23/2018
