TL;DR I had a very bad breast abscess and the office moved very slowly, failing to take my concerns seriously enough to get me the treatment I needed as a breastfeeding mother. I had my postpartum exam scheduled for the afternoon but had developed a breast abscess that was causing me a ton of pain. When I called to express this and ask to be seen earlier, reception didn’t ask for any more details, didn’t apologize, and didn’t do anything except say there were no open appointments after looking for 10 seconds. I decided to tough it out a bit more thinking at my appointment I would finally get my breast taken care of and it would be fine. When I got to the office though, I waited an hour past my appointment time before finally seeing my doctor. She then gave me the referral I needed, but didn’t realize it was pus visible under my skin and let me leave with only general antibiotics and a vague comment about getting imaging/a referral- both of which required reception to call me to schedule. Despite my situation and my concerns as a breastfeeding mother, no call came to schedule me and when I called the next day about my extreme concerns from visible worsening overnight, a nurse told me to wait a few more days with antibiotics and leave a message with the referral number (which had a full mailbox), while reception didn’t bother to do more than tell me they had no power over how fast a referral would go through and couldn’t see my referral or imaging need in the system in the first place. Overall, they failed to respond appropriately to a significant health concern despite it having been developing for two weeks and my being in extreme pain from a ping pong ball size bright red lump with pus building up under skin stretched very thin. I had to repeatedly call and advocate for myself in order to get the appointments I needed. If I didn’t, I fear my referral wouldn’t have gone through and my abscess would have ruptured since it desperately needed to be drained and put on specific antibiotics for my case.

This office is very unprofessional. I've had everything from a medical appointment I desperately needed pushed back several months, to my prescriptions being sent to the wrong place. I would go somewhere else but there aren't many options in upstate New York unfortunately. In addition to this, I was scheduled to have a routine Pap smear, which I didn’t ask for, only to be charged almost $1000 for additional tests I didn’t ask for. My insurance paid for most of it but I ended up paying $300 out of pocket. I am so upset and will never ever go back.

Receptionist is so rude. I really think the staff is amazing and the doctor is wonderful but OMG that receptionist made me cry. I hope she is removed.
