Even though the place is very well kept the way that they treat certain people or members of the community is extremely called for. In the short time that one of my family members was there they had told 5 different stories to 3 different people. First this family member, her healthcare proxy (also my cousin) as well as myself were told that there was no reason why I would not be able to spend time with my family member during the time that she would be there. Then when I went there with this family member I was told 3 different stories within just a few short hours and told that I did not have any reason to be upset about the things that had happened during that time. When I mentioned notifying that family members proxy because of the issue I was told that I had no way of getting in touch with that person despite the fact that the person in question is my cousin and had made sure that I had her number in case something of this nature had happened. When they were confronted about the situation by this cousin they lied about everything that they had said and done that had caused the issue even when they were talking to her on the phone knowing everything that they had said and done during that time. Even though they had said that these rules would change during special days and holidays they still refused to admit that they were telling people several different stories about these things throughout that entire time and lied about all these things right from the very beginning starting when they had told my cousin that it would be just fine that I would be able to be there during certain times.

No one should have to live in this establishment. My husband was there and not taken care of at all, the staff was way to busy sitting at the nurses station talking about what going to do this weekend. Residents were yelled at for no reason or they were totally ignored .Many days I went there only to find my husband sitting in his wheelchair with an EMPTY oxygen tank! This place should be closed down!!!!!!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would I have never been in such a worse place than onieda center. The staff treated us horrible they yell at us and they made me feel uncomfortable about my weight. Every time I asked for a snack a few of the aids told me I need to go on a diet or they would say look at you you don’t look like you need a snack. The food is horrible I wouldn’t even feed it to my dog. They make us feel like we are prisoners more than patients and more like animals than humans. I can’t believe the things I saw and heard in this place there was only 2 staff that I really loved and 2 nurses that I loved that worked nights but trust me when I say DO NOT PUT ANYONE YOU CARE ABOUT IN THIS PLACE!!!!

I would recommend any of my family members to this facility. Clean and professional and Spencer does the admissions and is the best to work with. Very knowledgeable staff all around!
