They seem to really care and work hard to engage with the community. Love the crafts and reading program. They also put on drive in movie events occasionally. KCK libraries are great and this one is no exception.

The library is kept very clean and all the librarians are so polite. The security guard is also very nice and always greets everyone. The only downside is when the middle schoolers get off from school and come here to hang out. They run in and out of the building interrupting the environment and all the people who come here to get work done or looking for peace and quiet. The behavior is very disruptive and none of the staff really take effort to say anything. Overall, great library but does have times during the day where there is disruptive behavior.

We close on the 26th to allow our hardworking employees time to rest and spend time with their loved ones for the holidays. It also allows employees who have to travel to see loved ones the ability to spend the holiday with them, without having to leave on the day of the holiday to get back. We appreciate our community understanding and allowing our employees this needed short time off to enjoy their holiday before they return today to provide the excellent service you are used to accessing.

I know for movies it's $.10 per rental period. Like you can check them out for a week and if you're late returning them then you're only charged $.10 total for another week. I hope that makes sense.
