Warning: do not swim with any open wounds here. We visited the swim beach in 7/20 with friends. My son had gotten a turf burn that morning, but it didn’t look bad. His friend cut himself at the beach while swimming. They both ended up with impetigo, a contagious bacterial infection that spreads. We love the beach itself & there were only a few other small groups there, but after this visit, not sure we want to return.
