Rita at front desk was born to work in hospitality! She went above and beyond making our short stay as comfortable as it can be. Very clean and modern hotel. Will be back to stay here again in couple of months.

Great family feel. Everyone is truly caring, positive, respectful and professional. I especially want to say Thank you to Meli helping with breakfast. She is super nice and sweet! Very hardworking and caring, kind and professional! Always making sure I have enough to eat and even wrapped sandwiches to go for me not to leave hungry. Also, the first day when I checked in Rita at the front desk made me feel very welcomed and I felt right away part of a very kind family. The bedroom was big, clean, with comfortable bed and pillows. Very convenient to have a cute kitchenette. Breakfast is very generous in varieties and very tasty. Coffee is tasty and available all day along with tea and hot chocolate. Will most definitely stay there again.

One of the worst hotel experiences by far. The second day of our stay the power went out due to a storm, not that we minded being that we were out visiting family. My wife, myself, and our four children (all under the age of ten) returned to the hotel around 11pm to discover that the power went out around noon that day. The hotel staff offered us a flashlight in order to make it to our room which was lovely. However, we had to traverse the winding stairway with one flashlight and were lucky not to fall and break our necks. We felt relieved that the keycard actually opened the door, but again, had to traverse the pitch black, cold room, (this is December in Michigan mind you). We had a very long day and had another long day ahead of us. The next day the power still wasn’t restored, we could not shower and could barely get ready for the day. We packed our things and went to leave. No apologies upon our departure was given. When we got home from our weekend trip, we were told over the phone that the hotel would refund us our money for the restless stay. Now, coming up on two and a half months, still no refund. Calling the hotel has proven to be less than worthless. Staff are not willing to help and have advised us to take our claim to their customer complaint answering service, which is even worse than dealing with the hotel itself. Thank you home 2 Suites for ruining my weekend with my family, the family I rarely get to visit (being that I live in south Texas). I will highly suggest to all that I can not to stay in one of your hotels if they can help it. Thanks again! P.S. your room wasn’t clean either.

I really enjoyed the front desk staff, breakfast, my room and the amenities! However, being on night shift, my colleagues and I had a big issue with housekeeping banging the doors in the mornings when they’re cleaning and going in and out of the rooms using a door stopper (not all of them do that though). And on my day off, I was waiting for housekeeping to do my room and one of them reported that I refused cleaning when I didn’t even have a DND sign on my door or anything. The rest of features of the hotel really saved my rating and outlook. Overall, thank you all for being so welcoming to our team and going above and beyond for us!
