My MIL is at New Mark for her dementia with a locked ward. That part is nice, she don't complain the food. Our problem is that we see CNA's on there phones during work shift. Reported for 2 weeks about my MILs legs still no one had checked on them. 2 different nurses said that they took our concerns and would put in her file for the doctor to look at, they lied and never put it in or in my belief they just told my wife what she wanted. Today she had to force them to have head nurse down because MIL said her legs hurt and she didn't want to get out bed. Head nurse said it looks like her legs where seeping, now they are red and dry. My MIL should be keeping her legs up so fluid won't build up nursing staff keeps her in a wheelchair since she is a fall hazard, buy gives her a wheel chair without leg rest so she move around the facility which is helping her legs.

When you have problems call the nursing home complaint hotline. They're supposed to have the phone number posted so you can get it. If it isn't google it. When my mother was in a different nursing home I called more than once and every time they went there to check things out. I also got feed back from the investigations. I also reported the odor coming out of someone else's room. Someone has to look out for those that cant. I got lied to alot by the people that worked there also. If you don't call things won't get any better. Oh by the way that place got closed down.

I would not leave a loved one in the care of New Mark Care Center knowing what a dishonest and immoral/unethical person Anita L is

Came to visit my aunt and they brought her out with a blanket on. When we looked under the blanket she had dried up chocolate milk with what looked like crushed medicine all down the right side of her shirt! They had the blanket on her to hide how dirty she was. And what's more disappointing is that we had to make an appointment to come see her and they still didn't bother to get her cleaned up for our visit. They couldn't care less! Smh

The cost can vary depending on type of room, care level, long / short term and if a person gets any assistance from the state. Your best bet would be to arrange a tour and get a personalized quote if they have an open room that fits the care required. Laundry services, all meals and skilled care are all included for residents.
Yes we do, just speak with the discharge planner at the hospital and they can arrange it for you.
We had to furnish mom's TV. You can have a land line installed. My mom's roommate has a land line. They do have cable. You would be responsible for the phone bill.
