I love Paradise point Marina. I was really disappointed that they were closed when we got there because it's so fun buying little stuff from them supporting local. Of course they have all the necessaries hooks, bait, worms, snacks, food. You know the regular and it's just such a cute little thing

I very rarely give bad reviews to companies because I believe every business just flat out- has bad days as we all do.. However, Smithville lake is bad. Like BAD. Every. Year… The ecoli levels in the water are so high that you can’t swim. It’s advised to stay out of the water, in fact! That alone is enough to turn our car around. We are a family who participates in kayaking during our free time so it’s disheartening having to replan your entire day due to high levels of ecoli in the water. Besides kayaking, lol.. we went camping before knowing about the ecoli levels and we set up tent by the water to be waken up by WATER MOCCASINS all around our tent! On a good note.. The area is beautiful and the scenery is amazing. The staff is great- not necessarily at explaining beforehand the ecoli situation but there are signs posted on the water when you get there so.. it is what it is unfortunately.
