Let’s just say I live closer to Smithville lake and would drive the distance to kayak at Lake Jacomo. I used to come here as a child with my family and fish. Now my family and I come here to kayak! It’s super cheap- like $120 or so to license your kayak per year. Not over crowded and beautiful scenery! Park rangers do patrol but not heavily. It’s a nice go-to getaway for a day with the family ♥️

They do rent fishing boats, pontoon boats, paddle boats , canoes and kayaks.
I don't think so. Exemption for human powered vessel
I believe they are first come, first serve. But you can call the marina and check.
Yes . Great lake for it . Boats are limited to 25 hp or less ,so you don't get all the jack holes trying to pull skis /tubes like at Longview and blue springs (both lakes are just to small for those activities) . I would call because you many still need a Jackson county water pass for paddle boards
Yes, you can purchase boat stickers at the marina or our administration office.
Depends on the type of boat and the length of time. Pontoons are 50 dollars an hour or 200 for the day gas not included.
Dogs are only allowed on pedal boats and canoes, unless you bring your own Kayak.
I've seen people come up here the other day in the rental department and they sent her food back to the picnic shelter
it's not by people, it's weight limit....
Anytime you go to the lake
Boat Rentals I believe it's 18 with a valid drivers license.. Boat reservations can be made online or at any of our three Marinas. Pontoon, Fishing Boat, Utility Boat and Boat Rentals are available at 8 am, April 15 - October 15 (weather permitting). Pedal Boats, Canoes, Kayaks, and Paddle Boards are available Memorial Day through Labor Day. Pets are allowed on Utility Boats, Canoes, and Pedal Boats only. A Missouri Boater Safety Card is required if the driver was born after January 1, 1984.
