I’ve been going to Rand for quite a few years. First for cataract surgery with Dr. Allison. She was great. I was diagnosed with macular degeneration at that time. Since then I’ve been under the care of Dr. Danzig. He is my lifesaver. I’ve had numerous injections over the years and he has saved my vision. I cannot give enough praise to Dr.Danzig and Rand Eye. They are the best.

Waiting toooo long to see doctors 4 hours

I was blind in my eye from a mature cataract and I had to wait for six weeks to have the surgery done in Maryland. I called the Rand eye Institute as Dr David Rand was highly recommended to me. From the first moment I spoke with the person on the phone and explained my situation, they were very accommodating and getting me in to see Dr. David Rand immediately and also confirming that the surgery could be done immediately since they have their own surgical center. I saw Dr. Rand on July 22 for the first time and he did my surgery on Wednesday, July 27. He restored my eyesight and was very accommodating to me. Lisa at the front desk is very sweet and welcoming. Shelby who works with Dr. Rand was also very reassuring and comforting throughout this stressful time. I can’t recommend them highly enough for their customer service as they always fit me in and accommodated my needs. While I did wait a while for some of the appointments, I understand that like me they fit people in when they need to.

I waited 4 hours to see a Doctor and was quite annoyed. Debbie Rand who runs the office talked with me and apologized. She was terrific and explained they had a few emergencies and this Doctor will not turn away an emergency as he should. I was thinking god forbid I needed an emergency, they would take me right away. Debbie and Dr.William Rand are terrific people and the Rand family has great knowledge and care for their patients. They just need to evaluate their appointment schedules. Even though I am glad emergencies are taken care of, there is no reason for a 4 hour wait.
