I was in a non-Kaiser hospital in Apple Valley Ca where I received excellent care/treatments. I was released on Memorial day with the Dr. advice to follow up with my Kaiser Dr. I have attempted to do so to no avail. A simple Cat scan was all that was needed/necessary/called for. But after 14 days, that's 2 weeks, I can't get ANY HELP FROM KAISER TO DETERMINE IF I HAVE CANCER. I gave 1 star rating to insure the message might be read by others. I've been a loyal Kaiser member for 9 years, but I'm searching for a new HMO. Thanks

Kaiser has cut back on service so far that they now PUBLISH 15 months post blood in your fecal test is within their standard of care for colonoscopy 48 hours is fine to wait for a full emergency like stroke or heart attack 4 weeks is normal to read an important MRI They balance bill you AFTER you already paid your premium and coo-pay I hear they may lose their 5-star medicare rating YUK

Kaiser has been wonderful for us. Excellent surgeons, genuinely caring assistants and staff. For 30 years we have been covered though numerous illnesses and accidents, always positive KP treatment and results. My one criticism is the lack of telephone availability of appointment and advice nurse services. Waits of up to 5 hours should not be necessary.

I’d give Kaiser no stars if allowed. If you want McMedicine, one size fits all insurance/health provider, this is the place for you. If you want to be a number, with no individual care, this is the place for you. If you want not to be able to personally contact your primary care physician without an entire staff seeing your concerns, this is the place for you. Over the years, Kaiser’s cost-cutting measures have made their “health care” a joke. Your PCP is assigned so many patients he/she/they can’t remember health decisions you’ve made or that they’ve ordered. Kaiser is just awful. Their insurance is a joke, and so is their health care.

Some (seniors) say yes; others say no. Have never heard that under 65 have that opportunity. Best to call Kaiser services yourself, identify the kind of Kaiser plan you would qualify for and if and how a gym membership works.
