The person working the drive-thru was a bit disoriented. She did not seem to know that steak is not chicken, and kept repeating "chicken?" She just pumped the chocolate into the shake cups and put the Vanilla on top without mixing it. She kept banging into the counter and the take out window. She also had trouble putting the food into the bag. That said, she was very polite, and our food was prepared perfectly by the cook. Every was tasty and packaged neatly with plenty of napkins.

I haven't had Del Taco in well over a decade but was desperate the other night for something easy and cheap. Got a crispy chicken taco and a soft taco. The chicken taco was more lettuce and cheese than it was chicken. But the chicken itself wasn't half bad. Honestly I would say it had more flavor than Popeyes chicken sandwich, from my experience. Plus it was under $2, so can't really complain. As for the normal beef soft taco; I actually really liked the flavor but I could not get over the weird texture of the beef. Really threw me off. I don't think you'd even have to chew their beef it's so finely shredded. Honestly the texture sensation was very uncomfortable. A shame, considering again the flavor itself was pretty solid. Probably won't order again, it's just too off putting.

Unfortunately, this is a problem I also encounter and far too often. It's not just fast food places. Hopefully, wages can go up at least a bit more and lower level employees can be respected more so that more people can get hired and stay on the job. It's not a labor shortage. Since I always order the same thing when I go to Del Taco, I never have to call them in particular. I just go there but yes, I've also been frustrated by the same problem regarding other businesses.
