I was a patient at this place just a few days ago (the children's ward) and all I can say is it was living hell. It’s not professional at all, the “therapy” is not actual therapy at all. Group therapy was simply sitting in the day room and reviewing our “goals for the day.” “*insert name* did you reach your goal? Yes? Good.” That was group therapy. Kids of all different kinds were put together, those who were facing mental difficulties/suicidal were put with people who should be in juvie. For fighting and even homicidal tendencies. They DONT care about your triggers (even after making you fill out a form about it) I came in for depression and have a very bad experience with not only yelling but fighting, and was subject to it every single day. Not only did this deteriorate my health, but made me feel more sick there then at home. I was scared for my life, it was almost like jail. The staff was not very good. One right out stated, and I quote “I don’t care.” When asked if she even cared about us (jokingly) and she answered such. I nearly passed out (from a medical mistake made by doctor, unprofessional as well) and when I couldn’t walk or see, the nurse told me to go to the front desk. Watching me scale the wall as I tried not to collapse. I was not offered any help until at the front desk. Even though there were nurses stationed in the hallway. I could not see, my vision was spotting and my blood pressure had dropped to a 74 (typically a 100 something) there are few exceptions. There was one nurse that truly made me feel safe and cared about. Who cared about the kids as well as the patients. Thank you to the nurse who came with me when discharged and told me the time. Asked about my book and told me it was going to be okay. She was the only one who vaguely cared about the kids. Everyone else seemed to not care. I do not expect anyone to read this, but if you do. Do not send your children there. It’s not a place of rejuvenation or help. There is no therapy, no active help from doctors. Forget going if you are triggered by yelling, loud noises, fighting, etc. please go somewhere that specializes in mental health, even if more pricey. I went here for three days, and I’m terrified to say the least. I can’t sleep, I have trouble eating and leaving the house. Please don’t go.

Shockingly poor leaving patients at severe risk. A loved one went in seeking help and was sent home a few days later on less medication than they had been on for years and years. I had left 10 messages offering this individuals history and suggestions on what works and what does not. Not a single person would call back. They obviously do not care at all. The only info I received was " we are very short staffed." This individual is now spiraling downward and not willing to take more medication because the Dr told him he does not need them. Dr Pascal (spelling?) should not be practicing medicine as far as I am concerned. He has put this individual as severe risk. For your own sake go up to Palm Beach and use the much better facilities up there. When I called to explain/complain to someone I was told the patient advocate would hopefully get back to me in three days. My guess is that I will not hear from anyone. Hopefully this post will awaken someone who cares.

DO NOT ALLOW your family member or loved ones to go to this place. It is rife with insurance fraud, abuse of the Baker Act for financial gain and apparent kickbacks, and falsification of medical records.YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

I'm desperate, my father is very rebellious, I need to admit him, he has medical insurance, what should I do
For detox we except Medicare Medicaid and private insurances . For our inpatient substance-abuse rehab program Medicare and private insurance is only will cover our program . No Medicaids
It depends on the person how much help is needed?
Methadone

Go to the website contact human resources
