I think I am here almost daily. All the staff I have met are super nice and always take time to help if I have questions or can’t find a product. Brenda in customer service is an amazing sweet lady, and Matt in pharmacy always goes above and beyond to help or answers questions about my medications. I highly recommend this Safeway over any other in Salem. The other employees that I have met and see often are also very nice and always helpful. They have a great security team there as well.

Dude that makes sandwiches in the deli needs to not work there he does not know how to make sandwiches he wasted so much bread by messing up twice I have a short break and spent my whole break watching him struggle for 15 mins because he didn’t know how to make one i don’t know why you guys let people work. There that don’t know how to properly make things right so disappointed I’ll drive all the way to center street Safeway then ever coming here again

So far the the employees in all of the departments have been very helpful and friendly. Always asking if we are finding everything ok. The reason the star rating isn't higher is due to a few things. 1. They seem to run out of the sale items very quickly. I'm not sure if this is due to customers over purchasing, or strictly not enough inventory. 2. My husband and I decided to try both Pistachio Butter and a Lemon Curd jam they are both a little more pricey than our normal purchases but we decided to go for it. The next morning we were going to have some and realized they had both expired, one was a couple weeks prior to our purchase the other was 3 months expired. We could not find our receipt and just never tried to return them. 3. Purchasing the produce especially premade bagged salads they are either already brown liquidy on the shelves or will be by the next evening. With the cost of groceries now this is really concerning.

Generally it's a good store and has what I need. today I went in and bought some soda and had a cashier did not ask if I needed help and basically ignored me till it was time to pay
