They look you right in the eye and lie about the wait time. Over and over and over. Incompetent and defensive. Just be truthful. Dont say "in just a moment" when it's going to be hours!

Having read your reviews, one consistent theme prevails: either you get 5 stars or 1. Huge discrepancy. Why? 1) you need to retrain your people in customer service, you do after all run a business (1st question upon admission is, What s your insurance), your patients are consumers and your frontline service can be poor down to the antiquated phone operators; 2) retrain your frontline nurses and doctors who supposedly provide "care and compassion,"as you said, and sensitivity to those in abnormal or stressful situations. Knowledge is more than sticking your head in the DSM5 to find billing codes or passing the buck. 3 times I had to deal with arrogance and immaturity, first from an ER doc reprimanding me for requesting extra meds when I ran low (percocet) the day I moved me and 5000 pounds of furniture back here, next from a social worker in the ER half my age, then a nurse threatening to catheterize me in the Rehab if I didn't ring for help, which is both ineffective and argumentative in securing compliance or assuaging anxiety, try communication and listening, now that' s a novel idea;) 3) how about attending doctors checking medications before they hold someone against their will, when it s the meds that are the culprit and the pharmaceutical printout indicates such. How about respecting a patient enough to realize her PCP was lax? With 2.04 billion $ in annual billings, Cottage is gobbling its way up the coast buying out other hospitals and opening urgent cares.But...despite your endowments, your expansion, your heightened technology, your marble halls and glass donor wall and flowing river and lawn sculpture, prettier and bigger and wealthier and more smartly equipped isn't better. It s just fancier. Your wealth is your reputation, NEVER forget that. And your poverty is your erratic, inconsisent standard of care to all, even the difficult patients. I ve witnessed a systemic arrogance and smugness since the first day I returned 7 yrs ago after 10 yrs up in Lake Arrowhead and you guys don t seem to change. Change starts at the top as does the insulated rarified air of arrogance and unresponsiveness. I haven't gone back to Cottage in 4 yrs nor will I if I can help it. I've had health care all over the world, and never have I felt the frustration to the point of writing letters and reviews online as with Cottage demanding apologies and amendments to records. Why should you change? After all, Harry and Meghan had a baby there (which you so primly remind everybody on your website! ).

MRI referral and scheduling supposedly was fine. Substantial delay caused by NO ONE following through with Medtronics. Cottage Scheduler forgot to have AICD turned off for procedure. Being a stage 4 heart patient I could not wait for Medtronics rep to travel, etc,,, . This was made clear to scheduler. They istened; just not "HEAR"...big difference.

Yes as long as you are vaccinated and booster. Or negative covid test no longer then 72 hours.
Rico, if you are a patient see of your nurse can assist you. Cottage used to have iPads for patients but I don't know if that service is still offered.
“The Cottage Heath main campus is located at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, and is about 100 miles from downtown Los Angeles via Highway 101.”
