Don’t waste your time here. I called about a month ago to schedule a follow up with my psychiatrist, only to be told that they DELETED my entire profile because apparently, their finance department has been trying to reach me to make a payment. I just had to ask what phone number they were trying to reach me at because I never received any type of phone call and they proceeded to read out a phone number that wasn’t even mine. After I said that isn’t my phone number, they immediately transferred my call to another department and completely ignored what I said. I was ignored whenever I brought up that situation and was never able to contact their finance department to solve this problem. Anyways, I was able to schedule another appointment an entire month later. I was already running low on my medication. I called and asked if the appointment can be done through telehealth and I was told yes. I sat by my phone for an hour waiting for a phone call, even waited in the Nobu app as well. This appointment was extremely important to me because it meant going cold turkey off my medication if I missed it. Never received a call. I called and asked what happened, they told me my appointment had to be done in person. Never once was I told about this. I was absolutely upset. I called the next day and told the lady at the desk about my situation, only to be met with attitude. I said I needed an emergency prescription. She said the psychiatrist will get in contact with me soon, only for a whole week to pass and nothing! Needless to say I had to go cold turkey off my medication that i’ve been taking for almost a year! and I had to find myself a new doctor as fast as I could. These people do not care about their patients. Search elsewhere. Literally anywhere else

Came here looking for help and everyone including Cristina (front desk associate) was so very helpful and kind. She has always treated me with compassion and professionalism, and that definitely rolls over to the doctors as well. So glad I made the decision to come here.

It's extremely unfortunate that Christina is running the front desk. If you never want to get through to anyone when you have an issue, make your appointment here. When people call this office, they are calling about their mental health, not calling to order a pizza. Her lack of responsibility and consideration for patients' mental health is incredible. Only reason I'm leaving 2 stars is because the doctor is actually amazing. But the receptionist is IMPOSSIBLE. NEVER picks up the phone, never schedules the follow ups when the doctor sends her the follow up information. Never returns a call or responds to a voicemail. I have literally missed THREE appointments because she does not log them in the system, (when the office is always empty and she just sits there) I have had to come in person to see if they were even still open. I ultimately had to find another doctor (even though I was very happy with the one I had at this facility) because what good is a amazing doctor when you can never see her?? I am never one to write reviews, but this is just beyond anything i have ever experienced and no patient should have to deal with this. very disappointed, can't believe someone like this is working for Baptist.

This place is a JOKE. They do not drug test patients in their recovery program, literally ever, they dismiss the patients out early every single session, have 0 structure to how their programs are run, and are basically winging it every single meeting. DO NOT let the Baptist name fool you and do not trust this place with your loved one.

While some people may be able to find recovery from addiction on their own, the vast majority require addiction treatment from medical professionals at a rehab facility, detox center, hospital or clinic. People with less intensive addictions and stable home environments may qualify for outpatient care or telehealth, where they may still live at home and receive treatment part-time or online.
There are many factors that contribute to an addiction, including genetic makeup, family background, social influences, neurological factors, co-occurring mental health conditions and environmental issues. Even now, many people assume that drug addiction is caused by a failure of willpower or by weak character. However, the medical community recognizes that addiction is a brain disease — not a character flaw.
Yes, The Recovery Village at Baptist Health has two types of intensive outpatient programs. At our Miami location, we offer a more traditional IOP where patients live at home or in sober living facilities and attend treatment at the facility regularly. At the Lake Worth location, the majority of patients enrolled in the IOP program continue to live on-site, where they receive 24-hour access to professional support.
"Drug addiction treatment" refers to a range of medical and therapeutic services performed by licensed professionals to treat substance use disorders. A substance use disorder is a chronic, relapsing brain disease involving compulsive drug-seeking and use. Drug addiction treatment options range from medical detox and inpatient care to pharmacotherapy, outpatient services and teletherapy.

Outpatient treatment can happen on its own or as a step-down option in a full continuum of care. Patients in outpatient drug rehab attend the Miami facility on a part-time basis or attend telehealth sessions while living at home or in sober living communities. In outpatient treatment, you can benefit from psychotherapy and medical care, usually on a scheduled basis.
Outpatient rehab length can last anywhere from a few weeks to over a year, depending on the person’s needs and their progress through recovery. Longer lengths of treatment are associated with better recovery outcomes. Based on a person’s symptoms, stressors and supports, their treatment team will recommend the best option.
