I donated some leftover meds from our dog that passed away. They seem to have a caring staff though I did not go inside.

I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone. They hand pick who THEY want to have the animals regardless of your background and experience. They want to tell you how you can and can’t raise YOUR OWN pet. They turned down my GRANDMOTHER for a puppy and broke her heart. Simply disgusted with this place and will NEVER go back nor refer anyone. I feel sorry for all of the animals there. If you have to speak with Ashley, I can guarantee you will not leave there with any animal.

Very friendly staff! Incredibly clean facility and the animals are just too cute. We will return tomorrow and maybe bring home our new fur baby

Hi Jessica! Please call and speak to our Intake Coordinator if you have a pet to surrender. We do owner surrenders by appointment only. Our hours are Tues-Sat, 12:30 to 5:00.
We have one bunny for adoption! We are open Tuesday - Saturday, 12:30 - 5:00pm. You can always view our adoptable animals on our website as well. Thank you for asking!
You have to go in put in an application and then meet the cat and let them judge you if you're good enough or not.
Not often but they do have a few other animals
Yes, I believe they still offer a volunteer application at the front desk 👍🏽
Hi Kendra! We do accept blanket donations for our animals! Please feel free to bring them by Tuesday-Sunday, 12:30-5:00. Thank you!!
I think there used to be one monthly via pet transport to/from Asheville. 👍🏽
Thanks Fred for thinking of our animals! We are so sorry to hear of your loss, and will gladly accept any donations you have. You and your companion are in our thoughts!
Call them. I'm sure they will work with you ! Great ppl !
You have to call them to let them know you have a dog that needs to be surrendered. But they don't usually take in dogs unless they're in the pound.
4-6 months is the norm and was suggested to me by a holistic vet. When I got to the SNIPS appointment the form was changed to say 6 months because she said the place doing the procedure liked for pets to be older for rabies shots. We got the microchip, shots, any spaying all at once.
Hi Christy - we are so sorry to hear about your cat. While we are not currently in a position to help with humane euthanasia onsite, please call and speak with our Director of Operations. We have additional resources to help you and your companion.
They have stats online of the euthanasias, the number is very very small, and it is aggressive pets who cannot be rehomed.
They have $10 specials. Call and make an appointment.
Yes, I believe you can see all the dogs available and meet and greets by appointment.
Hi Leonard, and thank you for thinking of our animals! We would be happy for your sweater contribution. You can stop by anytime between 1-4pm, Tues - Sun!
Oh yes they will take old sheets and blankets too
Not sure, call them
Hey Cassidy! It sounds like you are referring to “Back Wall”, and it’s a good question! That area is reserved for our newest pups pending medical assessment, and for dogs that may be having a hard time adjusting to the kennel environment and need a more quiet space. We do not allow members of the public or any of our newest volunteers back there to limit the possibilities of disease transmission, and to continue to offer that quieter space for our more fearful residents.
Yes they have a program called SNIPS.
They rarely if ever get in dogs like Pomeranians. Many of their dogs are super sweet pit bull mixes. There are indeed other small dogs there and they are so full of personality! I highly recommend going to the humane society to meet the dogs no matter the breed. They definitely do have some super sweet small dogs right now that would love to let you get to know them!
Yes they have volunteers that volunteer at the shelter. Give them a call.
Yes but you have to make an appointment first
It depends! Recently they had an overflow so the kittens were super cheap. But i think regularly kittens under 6 months are $95
No. The Humane Society is closed today.
No they don't
Give them a call
Just know your doing the right thing for him. It's alway hard for us too.
No there isn't. They are opened Tuesday - Sunday, 12:30-5 and 11-5 on Saturday.
