This place says Urgent Care but the turn away patients without appointments until 1pm! Their website does not state this and it should. Me and my 5 year old were sitting outside and had to go somewhere else. That’s not true “Urgent” care.

Disorganized with appointments. We arrived 30mins earlier but made us wait 1hr 15mins for a nurse visit.

I have been coming to Alta Med Garden Grove for years. Today,I arrived at approximately 15:30 for an urgent care visit. I was told it was about a two hour wait. A walk in appointment was scheduled for 17:15. I was called in at around 17:00. If you check my patient after visit summary report you will see the printed time is 18:42. Still no doctor visit. The reason I left without being seen is because of your rude and unpleasant staff. I was told in a snapish tone a voice that "we only have ONE doctor and he is with a patient and to wait my turn. This is after I advise your staff that my insulin pump and my cgm are connected to my cell phone which was at 10 percent battery and about to die. I overlooked the fact that most of your staff have covid symptoms, I could hear the constant coughing and sneezing as I waited in the patient waiting room.I will be looking for a new primary care doctor because of your night urgent care team. Please send someone from corporate to speak to your staff about patient care and time management. I guess looking for misplaced covid vials was most important.

Dr. ILLIE WU is the best! This is my first time visit and I felt like she was the only doctor I've ever been to that actually truly cared about my needs and listened to me. I feel very hopeful to get better now that I have an intelligent new primary doctor that knows her stuff. And the office staff was super pleasant and easy to work with. Thank you!:)
