BE SMARTER THAN ME - AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. It shouldn't take me 4 visits to get my windshield fixed. I took my car in for a routine windshield replacement. They had my car there all day before realizing they didn't have the parts....twice, on two separate occasions. If the staff spent less time joking in the lobby and more time working on cars, they might have noticed this. It's taken me 4 visits to them, and they still haven't gotten it right.

I had my window replaced at home but was putting two kids down for naps so trusted the guy who was doing the job. I ended up with my moldings not in place. Went to get them fixed and they said that’s the best they could do. I know I don’t have the most fancy of cars but it’s a 2012. The window is not cheap but not my car looks dumb. I was told not to worry because they are just decoration pieces. The window is secure. I didn’t give them my car looking like that. I’d prefer to have my cracked window.

A rock hit our windshield and we went through our insurance to file a claim and get an appointment set up. We had a set appointment time in the morning and were guaranteed by our insurance and the technicians at Safelite that our car would be repaired in 3 hours, and would be ready by the end of the day. We called 6 hours after drop off to ask about the status of our car — they said they were bolting everything up and the car would be ready in the next 15 to 20 minutes. We went to pick the car up an hour and a half after the call, only to be told our car wasn’t be done and wouldn’t be done until after close and we wouldn’t be able to pick it up until the next day. The service rep at the front desk simply responded “That sucks, it is what it is.” We had to extend our car rental an extra day and had to pay an outrageous last minute fee. Would not recommend — we will definitely be going through a different auto repair facility if need be.

My drivers side window was cracked on the day of the Marshall Fire as there were 115mph winds and I was driving back to get my wife and dog to evacuate our home. We noticed the crack the next morning. We went through our insurance (Progressive) and they recommended this shop. The initial day they were able to replace the window but then the automatic windows were not working and the sideview adjuster was jammed. They also scratched the door panel which is a minor inconvenience but again speaks to the type of negative experience this entire process was! The mechanic seemed flustered and took 20-30 additional minutes trying to figure it out, even looking under the hood. They said I could come back the next day so a more advanced mechanic can resolve the issue. I came back and apparently the procedure takes 20 seconds - literally hold the down button for 10 seconds then the up button for 10 seconds and it resets the mechanism. The next day however I noticed that every time I opened my door it was sticky at the bottom based on how they put the door back on. I got a service at subaru, basic oil change, and they said that could become an issue with the sticky substance on the door. So I called the shop again to address this, they requested that I come in again to take a look, which I did and the manager, Eric Gonzalez, said they will come out to my home to address it properly. Keep in mind we had been displaced by the fires this entire time so this was an additional level of stress we did not need. No service was performed on the car that day. This location is also approximately 25 minutes from our actual home but was near where we were staying when we were displaced so after we returned home, dealing with them was a significant drive time. They came out to my home and checked the weather stripping that was not put back properly, and he stated he was able to put it back. Initially, he forgot to reset the auto windows again! I had to remind them. In my stressed state I didn't even notice the sideview adjuster was jammed AGAIN. So I had to call the next day and bring the car back to the shop yet again for this one window change. Eric the manager said the mechanic would do a very thorough inspection. When I arrived the mechanic listened to my situation and as he drove the car around apparently he was able to easily manually pop the adjuster back in... he never looked any further at the door which SEEMS to be ok BUT the lack of attention and the incredible waste of my time ALONG with the lack of sympathy about our situation in the fire AND zero offer of any kind to make up for the frequent incompetence is very much unacceptable. When I did bring it up to Eric he offered to replace our windshield wipers which I just did a few weeks ago and did not seem in line with the amount of time that they wasted unnecessarily. Overall, the entire experience left me with zero confidence in ever recommending this company and certainly never allowing any of their mechanics to touch a vehicle I own.

My Honda Ridgeline 2008 was $250. I don't think they're that expensive. Quotes are free, no obligation.
