It's a neat place to learn about and even experience a piece of American and Nebraska history.

A wonderful experience for the family. Get outdoors, enjoy history at its source. Don't tell Iowa but this is the location where Lewis and Clark met with the Native Americans...yes, this is the real Council Bluffs, right here in Nebraska. There's a marker on the location. Military reenactments on some weekends in summer. Winter events too. Bring your camera!

I'm not from there might try the city clerk!
The grounds are open all year round but it is seasonal there's a cottage there you could go and see and it's just a big open field and there's picnic tables where you can sit and eat and have a picnic right now is the best time to go it's a good place to go if you want to take the kids and just have a picnic and walk around there's a lot of walking plenty of room there if you want to play ball kickball or throw frisbee just a place to go and hang out and enjoy nature
The Independence Day living history weekend is July 6-7
