I have/had worked for Fusion for nearly six years. At first it was great. Everyone from my recruiter to compliance to benefits was on the ball and on their game. Then COVID hit. My long term recruiter left. I’ve been through two recruiters in about 16 months. IF I get a response from anyone it takes two or three days. Compliance/records was sending me an email from a different person once or twice week for the same thing (usually my COVID records). I finally told them, enough and to put this information somewhere safe as I would not be sending it again. I had a workman’s comp and it took calling the nurse director to get anyone to talk to me. All of a sudden my rates are being changed mid contract. My recruiter says it is the facility changing rates but when I check with the manager (who I’ve known for a while) she confirms there was no change on their end. I know from talk with other travelers that this is not a practice strictly limited to Fusion. It’s a symptom of a bloated and greedy industry.

I love working as a traveler with Fusion Medical staffing and have been traveling with them for nearly 2 years now. I always know Fusion has my back and my recruiter Barrett Shainholtz has been the best. I make his job extra hard to place me because I pick assignments that allow me to be close to family members throughout the states. Barrett always finds me a job. He checks on me to make sure the assignment is going well and if there is anything I need. I always feel like he supports me through out my assignments. Thank you Barrett and thank you Fusion Medical Staffing. I am glad I chose you.

Update 08/12/2022 A former colleague out of the blue asked me recently about Fusion after coming across it online. She was interested in doing travel therapy again. I told her about my unpleasant experience dealing with this untrustworthy company, and let her decide for herself if she wants to do business with them after hearing my horrible story. She suggested to write an honest feedback in the interest of transparency for the general public. So here it is—a word of caution to healthcare professionals thinking of using their services. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Recruiter, I feel like being duped by you and your company. You asked me for my former supervisors' references—which they filled out urgently despite being very busy themselves—my DOB, my SSN over the phone, filled out all forms that you needed but you can't seem to find me anything (or you won't), or didn't have the energy to be proactive with other positions. You could have submitted me to other South Carolina openings, which I suggested we should explore but you insisted on waiting for this single clinic. The writing on the wall was crystal clear: this clinic did not want me yet you gave me false hopes for more than 2 weeks—because you wanted big money for yourself from this one clinic. You didn't need my personal information. I've worked with many travel agencies before and they only needed a resume. References, DOB, and social were only required after they can get you a sure assignment—which you did not. You could have waited for this clinic to accept or reject me before asking all of the above. In the end, I gave you everything and you gave me nothing. Please delete all my personal information from your company. Quit wasting people's time and effort. And stop leading people on. No healthcare professional should have to go though such disrespect. Sincerely, Irish Tudtud, PT

How much are the cnas paid for traveling

Sondra Tolson | Sep 17, 2019
Fusion Medical Staffing | Sep 17, 2019

Hey Sondra! Each travel assignment varies when it comes to pay. We typically don't share average pay because it has so many different variables from needs to area to insurance/housing/stipends and experience level. It's best to just have a quick phone call with someone to get a better idea of what all goes into it!!
