This department will always mislead and misinform you. Best to not ask questions. Typical democrat run government agency.

I have personally always had very positive interactions with the Lancaster County Assessor. It's a difficult job.

I called this morning @810 to get help with the records of my home at 1816 Otoe and the young lady (Tyler host) took care of my worried mind as I never was notified that you all had my information that my home was paid off. This young lady talked to me eased my mind and 10 minutes later, she. had an email of the verification that the house was paid off. She was awesome and very efficient and very kind. She did a great job!! Thank you, Miss, Tyler

Changes in the real estate market are the likely reason for your value change. Since the county assessor is required by law to assess all taxable property at market value, when the market changes significantly, assessed values follow suit. Assessed value changes may also be due to physical changes to your property that affected its market value. Additions, renovations, demolition of existing structures, or physical deterioration are common examples. For more specific information, please contact our office at 402-441-7463.
