Bring your own vinyl for tunes, conversations, and drinks this first Thirsty Thursday of 2022 from 9:30pm til last call. How does "Bring Your Own Vinyl" work? We bring the turntable, you bring your records. Peops bring vinyl from home and talk -- "Look at this ridiculous cover" "Where did you find that?" "This record always reminds me of..." and so forth. It's a social event to listen to new sounds and meet new people. More of a music appreciation event than gapless DJing, we play sides of records instead of cueing songs and beat matching. We recommend no more than two or three records, and we'll try to play a full side of each, time allowing of course. Hi-fi beverages slung by Uriah, and analog tunes spun by the hosts of Vinyl Destination -- we urge you to bring a couple selections from home, pick up something fun from a thrift store on the way, or thumb through the crates for requests -- coming up Thursday January 6th: Get Down at Down Under: 3530 Leavenworth, Midtown (Facebook)
