If I could give negative stars i would. This is the most unprofessional, idiotic, unorganized DMV location I’ve ever been to. I would rather wait in Raleigh for hours than deal with this place. Avoid Harnett county altogether if you want decent service. They wouldn’t let someone with a permit take the drivers test unless they had an appt, which had to be scheduled for 3 months out, then the day before the appt they called & said they had to cancel because they scheduled over 300 people for this location (you can’t even get 20 cars in the parking lot) & that they would have to make another appt for 3 months from now. They were told no by the person trying to obtain license so they told him to come in a day before, when person with permit arrived to location there were 2 people in the building being served & was told that it’s 15 mins before check in to wait outside in 107 degree heat & had an attitude the entire time. What is the point in making appointments if this location finds every excuse to cancel them or just blatantly does not want to work which is evident. NC needs to hire people who want to do their job. This is ridiculous

If I could give no stars I would. When calling I was greeted very rudely. Their attitudes are negative, nasty and it seems that they enjoy treating people in such a ugly fashion. Terrible service, Terrible attitudes.

I had an appt but had to wait 45 minutes longer... So they aren't exactly on time.

I wish it was possible to give negative stars. Erwin NC's DMV is like a twilight zone - too absurd to be real! You arrive and they make you queue up outside, every few minutes one of the ladies working there will come to the door, face the supplicants outside cringing from us as if we all are carrying the plague. She figures out who has an apointment, shouting questions at you about having a fever or exposure to covid in the last two weeks, then she sends the less worthy souls (those with no appointments), on their way (little do they know they're the fortunate ones). Those with appointments are not admitted into the building (the one our tax dollars are paying for with air conditioning and chairs, where folks could actually wait - even six feet apart -- with more comfort), but must wait outside on the beetle strewn sidewalk until they are beckoned inside at the worker's convenience. When my 17 year old was called inside I was not allowed to go with him (is that even legal since he's a minor?) but was told they would allow me to come in when they needed me. I was subsequently brought inside to be told that the declaration of insurance letter did not adequately prove my son was insured and told that if my insurance company did not fax over a form immediately we'd have to schedule another appointment since they were extremely busy (there were two women working and my son was the only one interacting with either of them) - we were not allowed to sit down in any of the empty chairs to call the insurance company but pushed back outside and told we'd be called back in if/when the fax showed up in time. We did conclude our business and got through this, but seriously, can we, as NC Tax payers, not lodge formal complaints against this? There were signs posted all over about how we must treat the workers with respect or we'd be told to leave. What about them having to show respect to the customers they're supposed to serve? We got my son's learners permit at the Fuquay DMV. That was 6 months ago (so more during the pandemic than now) and they still allowed a reasonable number of people to come into the waiting area - so the not allowing anyone in the building isn't a state-wide dictate. I know you have to wait longer for appointments at other DMVs, but it is very much worth it! Never go to Erwin DMV if there is another option.

Need to renew what do need to Know can i renew online and with What documentation
Birth certificate ss# a utility bill and around $15
They are open, you need an appointment. One of the ladies was extremely rude because I didn't have one. They are taking appointments online through the ncdot.gov/dmv
In Fayetteville. 8 to 4.
$40.00 for new and renewal of drivers license.
Their website will tell you
Absolutely have to have an appointment
I can't get them to answer either...
I have tried to call several times, there is never any answer, but I don't know if it's a technical problem or not.
No cause of COVID everything is appointments only
No you only need to make a real ID appt I wentup there for ID but got drivers license instead
Call them directly
Yes. You will have to do the written part and the road part. Make sure you can parrallel park with only the 3 parts (pulling/backing in/up/out) etc). Anymore than that and you will have to retake the whole driving part again. They have books you can pick up at the DMV or you can get the information you need to study and prepare of their website. Hope this helps!
They told us the plans are to stay open as long as they can.
No
They probably accept cash debit probably around 40 i would guess
If you are under the age of 18 yes. 18 and older no you just have to take all test
Standard non-operater ID is 13
You must call during business hours
Yes
Yes, just asked thus question. Didnt have my birth certificate so, have to get real id later. Its not required until 2020.
Get there at least 30min before they open. I was the fifth person in line outside when tgey opened and it still took 1hr 45min to get a drivers license (Current driver from out of state so, no written exam, just a simple eye test).
you may want to contact DMV prior to visiting
