The Kenedy Space Center is a great place to take the family & learn about the latest technologies used in Space Exploration. Highly recommend adding the extended bus tour & one on one with an Astronaut. You get to explore more sections of the facility & you have a great Q&A with a living Astronaut (drinks and beverages provided). It made the entire experience interactive & memorable. We have fabulous pictures of the Space Shuttle Atlantis & the Falcon 9. Kids of all ages will definitely enjoy the experience.

Questions & Answers

We are coming in from out of town and wanting to watch the March 2nd launch but it's at 1:45 AM. Do they sell tickets for a late launch like that, or are you able to go in after hours to observe?

Check the website. Kennedyspacecenter. If there are tickets available that let you in. LC39. Was an excellent place to view spaceX rocket launch. I bet it would only be better at night. Good luck

Is the price to see a launch here worth it, and how hard is it to get in?

Worth it. There is ample photography area's, halfway decent luncheon, sovunier t-shirt. Sign up for launch notification alerts and jump on the purchase order immediately. Also, get there early park in lot #4 bus drops you off there. Furthermore, get in the transportation line early for optimal viewing spot and so the souvenir be t-shirt's don't run out. Additionally causeway traffic will back-up to California and if you're not in the gate when capacity has been reached...Doink! Whether or not you have a viewing ticket is mute 😭 crying towels are unavailable to purchase at the gate. Enjoy the 🚀

Do they have a seating available or do we need to take our lawn chairs? How are the mosquito's?

For the launch we saw, they had enough seating there for everyone. In August there were only some small biting bugs and no mosquitos at all. But I don't know about January or February.

Is this the closest location to see a rocket launch?
