Really good spot for a quick and not to mention easy hike, at least on the ocean side of Cabrillo highway. There are various vista points with benches making it a prime location to catch the sunset and spot whales. Don’t get off the path for most of the wildlife depends on the sensitive plants in the area and though it might seem like you’re not disturbing the growth, but I assure you, thousands of people hike the trail a month and that all adds up.

Visited here before sunset and it was so pretty. The entire drive of highway 1 is obviously amazing but this was a pretty cool place to stop and walk around. We watched an otter playing in the ocean and eating for a while. Gorgeous spot.

Sign says no dogs & i read that state parks don't allow dogs. I wouldn't recommend taking a dog. Garrapata means tick in Spanish, I havent had a tick issue, but wouldn't risk it with a dog.
