Ted is very helpful and knowledgeable. It's a shame that his children don't want to continue his business after he is gone. Old-school businesses like this are hard to find. Over the years, he has helped me with things ranging from the perfect TV antenna to receive signals from all of the local TV stations, to finding the correct stylus for an old turntable (record player). Unfortunately, that old turntable finally died about a year ago, after 40+ years of use and it was not repairable... and I had to spend $400+ to buy a new one of comparable quality. I will continue to patronize Ted's business for as long as it exists. Ted is a good man. EDIT 30JUN2022: Tedco just replied to my review, stating that there is a plan to continue the business. That's great news. I want to provide further context... My dad was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He had an extensive collection of "swing era" records from the 1930's and 1940's. I was born in 1969. I loved listening to swing music with my dad when I was a kid. He gave me his collection before he died. Listening to those old records brings back great memories.

I needed a doorbell resistor for my home and these friendly people had exactly what I was looking for plus a bunch of other cool things. Come by and see them!

Ted at Tedco Electronics bailed me out of a big jam. Our Camaro was stolen and the thieves cut the On-Star VCIM cable so it couldn’t be tracked. Thankfully it was recovered, but it was not running right. Evidently the cable is also involved in controlling the fuel pump. The Chevrolet dealership did not have a way of finding me this cable and suggested I replace the entire wiring harness ($2000). Ted spliced the two coaxial ends together, tested for continuity, and sent me on my way. Car runs perfect and onboard diagnostic detects no issues. Thanks again Ted. I’ll be in touch soon - Amir

Tedco, Ted W???, 92 years old and still as sharp as a tac, is the last retail electronic parts retail store (all the Radio Shacks are gone) in Florida! (Perhaps in the nation). When he leaves us for a better home, an era will have ended. I would not be surprised if he can tune CBs. He certainly knew that I would need some megathick hookup wire, and he had some, (he calculated the amperage needed) to hook up a 400 watt inverter in my car (a cigarette connector was not going to cut it). About 2 miles north of 192 on Babcock in Melbourne, FL. Where the tracks cross Babcock at an angle.
You do not need a license to use a standard CB (citizen band) radio unless you are externally amplifying the signal.
I don't know. Google it maybe?
Try Tedco electronics on North Babcock St.
Definately call Ted. If anyone has it, he would.
