I bought an auto insurance policy online in June 2022 before my old policy with a different company expired. Even though I paid the premium in full, Progressive failed to notify me that the policy would not go into effect for 30 days. As a result, I unknowingly allowed my liability coverage to lapse and incurred a $50 penalty. When I called Progressive customer service, they said there was nothing they could do about it. Lousy company and even worse customer service.

Such an annoying automated system but as soon as you get through that everyone is super kind and helpful! Things were completed quickly and emails were sent covering changes we spoke about. They were great about faxing documents when asked and it arrived shortly after. Been with them since 2016 and won’t change anytime soon!
