Beautiful Sunday outing. The kids were enthralled by the shooting Canon/rifle (3 pm on Sundays). Presenters were amazing! Staff was very informative and patient with children. Enjoyed by all ages. I absolutely recommend to everyone! Hoping the lighthouse will be restored soon to allow visitors...

Historic battlefield, small lighthouse and some great views of the Hudson River Valley. They had some battlefield tents set up around the museum, not sure if that's a regular thing.

If you’re in the area this is a must see interesting park with lots of early colonial history. It also offers some spectacular views overlooking the Hudson River with descriptions of battles that took place. There is also a lighthouse that was used in the late 1800s to early 1900s located here. Walking is fairly easy and handicap parking on the upper section of the hill makes for easy access. This park does close at 4 PM promptly so you’ll want to keep that in mind.

Excellent piece of American history. You are able to explore at your own pace on a self guided marked tour. Well paved and maintained path. Good little museum with interesting staff members to answer your questions. Beautiful lighthouse and picnic area overlooking the water. Has both a stamp for the National Lighthouse Passport and the Passport to your National Parks.
